Oral Presentations
For authors (JBHI Special Issue and selected Full/Regular papers) participating in the Oral Presentation sessions, you should have received an email from the Technical Program Chairs.
Your oral presentation should be approximately 10-12 minutes in length, with an additional 3-5 minutes allocated for Q&A for a total of 15 minutes. An LCD projector & computer will be available in every session room for regular presentations.
All oral sessions will take place either Monday (Oct 27th) or Tuesday (Oct 28th) per the “Program at a glance schedule” on BHI 2025 website (https://bhi.embs.org/2025/program-at-a-glance/). More details to follow on the exact timing of your presentation.
We ask that you plan to upload your presentation ahead of the scheduled time above using a USB onto your designated presentation laptop. As an author, it is your responsibility to upload your presentation slides BEFORE the program starts for the day.
Please arrive at your presentation room early to ensure you are ready to go at your scheduled time. The session chair will be introducing each author. During this time, please go to the front of the room, open your slides, and begin your presentation. A laser pointer/slide advancer will be provided and available at the front of the room. Once your presentation has concluded, please close your slides and return to the audience.
Preparation of Visuals:
- PLEASE NOTE THAT INDIVIDUALS USING COMPUTER PROJECTION MUST BRING A MEMORY STICK CONTAINING THEIR PRESENTATION.
- Files can be uploaded to the local PCs in the lecture rooms during the breaks before/between the sessions.
- To avoid software compatibility problems (MS Powerpoint), speakers are advised to EMBED ALL FONTS in your Powerpoint file AND bring a backup PDF-vesion of your presentation.
- Speakers should arrive in their session room 15 minutes BEFORE the start of their session to report to the Session Chair.
- Speakers are strongly encouraged to visit the Speaker Preparation room in advance of your presentation to avoid any last-minute problems. The speakers’ presentation room will be available on all days that sessions are scheduled.
